Short Bio
I am working in the research team at The Moving Picture Company (MPC). My main research areas are physically-based simulation, collision detection, fracture simulation, and haptic rendering focusing on applications for animation, computer games and computational medicine. Following my work on fracture simulation based on examples, I have also become very interested in machine learning and computer vision, applying data-driven algorithms to animation.
I received my BS in Computer Engineering at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (2007) and finished a Masters in Graphics, Games and Virtual Reality at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2010). In 2013, I finished my PhD at the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) as part of the Modeling and Virtual Reality Group (GMRV), under the supervision of Miguel A. Otaduy. I later worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Salisbury Research Group at Stanford University.
